FIT TESTING
Users of respirators with a tight fitting facepiece should be fit tested as required by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (CoSHH) Regulations. Respirators with tight fitting facepieces include disposable respirators and reusable half and full face masks; including those that form part of a powered or airfed system.
The new 3M™ Aura™ 9300+ Disposable Respirators, though similar in look to the 3M 9300 Series Disposable Respirators, include features that make the fitting properties different.
A reminder of the Aura 9300+ disposable respirators' features:
- The panels have changed in three ways:
- The sculpted nose panel
- The embossed top panel
- The chin tab on bottom panel
- The filter material has changed
- The method and instructions for fitting & adjusting are different
All of these changes effect fit therefore customers who have fit tested 9300 Series products will need to re-fit test wearers on the Aura 9300+ disposable respirators on initial selection.
