We designed the 3M™ Aqua-Pure™ Scale Inhibition Systems dose water with polyphosphates in small concentrations of 2-3 ppm, in order to bind hardness-causing minerals such as calcium and magnesium. Our system provides unrestricted flow of up to 37.9 lpm with ¾” NPT inlet/outlet connections. It’s easy to install and has quick change-out cartridges.

It’s ideal for keeping plumbing fixtures such as taps, pipes and shower heads working to full capacity, and the system extends the life of downstream water-using appliances by reducing scale build-up and corrosion. The overall design of our scale inhibition system makes the installation and cartridge change-out easy for professionals, and can be installed on the cold-water supply line of the water heater or at the water entry point of the home. The system uses polyphosphates in small concentrations of 2-3 ppm, effectively preventing scale build-up by binding hardness-causing minerals such as calcium and magnesium to prevent them from solidifying on metallic surfaces. The polyphosphates also prevent corrosion by forming a thin protective layer on the metal surface. Water contact surfaces are FDA CFR-21 compliant for food and beverage contact applications.
