The 3M Mini Stack Connector Series includes 3M™ Mini Stack Wiremount Socket 3S5 Series, 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Boardmount Header 3S6 Series and the 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Hand Tool

3M™ Mini Stack Connector Hand Tool is required tooling designed specifically for use with 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Series to enable a fast, simple termination method for sensor wire and other connections in automated manufacturing equipment. Insulation Displacement Connection (IDC) termination helps save up to 60% on wiring time vs. crimp-style termination. It eliminates the need for wire stripping, terminates multiple wires simultaneously and reduces the possibility of damage and product waste.

The right tool for the job

This tough, durable tool is smaller than many crimping tools and features an ergonomic design for more natural operation. It is designed specifically for use with 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Wiremount Socket 3S5 Series, and other tools cannot replicate its unique function.

A fast, simple alternative to crimping

The 3M Mini Stack hand tool enables Insulation Displacement Connection (IDC) termination with 3M Mini Stack socket 3S5 series. Technicians simply place the wiremount socket and the wires into the hand tool and squeeze. The tool makes stable metal-to-metal contact with each wire in two different places, and terminates 2 to 4 wires simultaneously. There is no need to strip the wires, insert them individually into the socket or crimp them one at a time. Using the 3M Mini Stack hand tool can help save up to 60% on wiring time vs. crimp-style connectors.

Designed specifically for 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Series

Works with 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Wiremount Sockets 3S5 Series

Thin, compact and stackable, 3M Mini Stack socket 3S5 series is sized to fit the 3M Mini Stack hand tool for optimal utility. Contacts are integrated into the sockets, so there’s only a single part to manage. Handling is easier and there’s no need to purchase and inventory sockets and contacts separately.
Easy mating and unmating

Terminated 3M Mini Stack socket 3S5 series can be stacked into blocks of up to four, simplifying wiring schematics and helping create more board space. Individual or stacked connectors plug securely into 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Boardmount Header 3S6 Series. These combinations reduce board footprint by 30% compared to the 3M™ Mini-Clamp Connector Series. 3M Mini Stack header 3S6 series also features center latches that hold connectors securely in place but still allow them to be easily unmated and remated as needed.
