3M™ Mini Stack Connector Junction Header 3S8 Series is used for space-saving cable extensions in applications such as automated manufacturing equipment. The 3M junction header 3S8 series is available in versions for panel mounting or for connecting hanging wires, and its compact design helps reduce board footprint by 30% vs. the 3M™ Mini-Clamp Connector Series. It accepts 3M Mini Stack socket 3S5 series, either individually or stacked into blocks of up to four, at each end. 3M Mini Stack socket 3S5 series feature Insulation Displacement Connection (IDC) termination, which can help technicians save up to 60% on wiring time vs. crimp-style connections.

Cable extensions without all the panel space

Part of the 3M Mini Stack connector series, the 3M Mini Stack junction header 3S8 series is used for installing compact, space-saving cable extensions in the wiring of sensors and other components for automated manufacturing equipment and other applications. Its compact design enables the use of smaller panels for cable extensions, or more extended cables without adding panel space. A free hanging version helps streamline hanging wires where no panel is used. 3M Mini Stack junction header 3S8 series helps reduce board footprint up to 30% vs. the 3M Mini-Clamp connector series. The 3M junction header 3S8 series accepts 3M Mini Stack socket 3S5 series at each end. It is available in a common type version which accepts individual 3M wiremount sockets, and a stack type version that accepts 3M sockets stacked into blocks of up to four. Connectors plug securely into 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Boardmount Header 3S6 Series. Built-in latches hold them securely in place yet allow for easy mating and unmating. 3M Mini Stack connector series is compatible with wire gauges from 30AWG to 22AWG.

3M Mini Stack connector series includes the 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Wiremount Socket 3S5 Series and 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Boardmount Header 3S6 Series. 3M Mini Stack socket 3S5 series feature a simple termination method that saves up to 60% wiring time vs. crimping for sensor wire and similar connections. A double Insulation Displacement Connection (IDC) termination process makes stable metal-to-metal contact in two places on each wire, and allows for termination of 2 to 4 wires simultaneously without the need for wire stripping. 3M Mini Stack headers 3S6 series including 3M Mini Stack Connector Junction Header 3S8 Series help reduce board footprint by 30% vs. the 3M Mini-Clamp Connector Series even in hard-to-reach or hard-to-see spaces. They are available in a range of header and fixture pin configurations. The 3M™ Mini Stack Connector Hand Tool enables double IDC for time-saving termination. 3M Mini Stack connector series also includes the 3M™ Mini Stack Interface Unit 3ST Series for efficient, space-saving interconnection between controllers and electronic devices.
