3M™ Heat Shrink Cable Sleeve MDT-A is a medium wall Heat Shrink Tubing range with hot melt adhesive, designed to provide reliable performance for electrical splices, connections and terminations up to 1.0 kV as well as mechanical and environmental protection. MDT-A Heat Shrink Tubes have a Halogen Free Polyolefin crosslinked outer wall and have a factory-applied adhesive inner layer.

3M™ MDT-A is a mediumwall polyolefin heatshrink tubing with hot melt adhesive. Shrink ratio is up to 4.5:1, minimum shrink temperature is 135°C, operating temperature is -55°C to +130°C. MDT-A is halogen free, PBDE free, provides good chemical resistance and IP 68 sealing. MDT-A is a specially designed medium wall tubing which provides tough and flexible insulation and is ideal for the protection of cable joints and terminations in outdoor applications. MDT-A is supplied with a specially designed hot melt adhesive layer. The adhesive is applied during extrusion of the tubing thus achieving a very smooth, constant adhesive layer which ensures excellent sealing properties. MDT-A is available in sizes from 12.0/3.0 mm to 120.0/40.0 mm with a wall thickness (recovered) of 2.5-3.3 mm in colour black. Standard packaging 1 m pieces in bulk-, standard- or display-pack. Certificates / Approvals: Lloyd’s Register Certificate 95/30032 and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.
