3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth Belt 967F features high-performing 3M precision shaped grain on a resilient, heavy weight polyester backing. Our cloth belts come with a grinding aid.

For outstanding durability and cutting efficiency in high pressure applications, use 3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth Belt 967F. Our durable belts feature 3M Precision Shaped Grain which means fewer belt changes and more parts per belt. They offer outstanding cutting capability on carbon steel, nickel alloys, and tool steels, resulting in greater productivity. These belts incorporate a grinding aid for superior performance on titanium and other heat-sensitive materials. They’re recommended for dry or wet grinding in medium to high pressure applications, such as random grinding systems or roll grinding applications. The heavy weight backing provides improved adhesion and shelling resistance over other cloth backings. This supports demanding applications and a consistent cut-rate. The backing is resin-bonded to withstand high heat and pressure. The science of 3M™ Precision Shaped Grain Precision Shaped Grain (PSG) signifies a major advancement in abrasive technology. PSG is a ceramic mineral designed using a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. 3M scientists went one step further and precisely engineered the mineral to form uniform triangular shaped grains that continually fracture into super-sharp points and edges that slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or ‘ploughing’ like conventional abrasives. PSG creates a super-fast cut and lessens heat build-up in the workpiece, reducing heat related stress cracks and discolouration. Moreover, because PSG stays cooler and sharper, it lasts longer than conventional abrasives. Get the belt you need Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of different belt machines. This belt is designed for many different applications on a variety of metal substrates. 3M offers a broad selection of belts to fit most industrial belt sanders. Wider belts are used in conjunction with wide belt sanders to grind and dimension metal and stainless steel panels. Other app

Suggested applications
  • Use for descaling, gate removal, high pressure grinding, intermediate finishing, parting line removal, and shaping applications. They’re ideally suited for stripping chrome from old parts as they are being rebuilt
