3M™ Nextel™ Fabric AF-62 is woven from Nextel 312 high temperature continuous ceramic oxide yarn that is designed to maintain strength and flexibility under a variety of extremely high temperature conditions. Our Nextel fabric AF-62 outperforms the useful limits of other high temperature textiles for improved performance in demanding applications.

3M™ Nextel™ Fabric AF-62 is woven from Nextel 312 high temperature continuous ceramic oxide yarn and is designed to withstand continuous high temperatures. With these properties, it can act as a flame barrier. Due to the unique properties of Nextel 312 fiber, this product outperforms the temperature limits of many other textiles, is thick, electrically insulating and flexible. Due to a unique double layer design construction and high air permeability, Nextel fabric AF-62 is an excellent component in burner applications. Among Nextel 312 fabrics, our Nextel fabric AF-62 is the thickest. This means that it is well-suited as a component in composite flexible seals, couplings and gaskets that need higher thickness. 3M™ Nextel™ Style AF woven ceramic fabrics are designed to meet the toughest thermal, mechanical and electrical performance requirements. They are heat, flame and oxidation resistant; and chemically resistant, lightweight, electrically insulating and flexible. Applications: Furnace curtains and zone dividers Furnace and duct linings Flexible seals and gaskets Sewn refractory parts and shapes Flexible thermal barriers Composite fire barriers Radiant heating gas burners Micrometeorite debris shields High temperature conveyor belts
