  • Very low shrinkage after thermal cycling

3M™ Nextel™ Roving 610 consists of continuous filament ceramic fibers and is available in 1,500, 3,000, and 10,000 deniers. Designed to withstand continuous use temperatures of up to 2200oF (1204oC), Nextel™ Roving 610 is considered a structural fiber, and used in applications requiring high tensile strength. Available served and un-served, and with several sizing options.

3M™ Nextel™ Ceramic Structural Rovings and Chopped Fibers 610 are made from continuous ceramic fibers and are designed for structural applications where their primary purpose is to reinforce composites. Nextel ceramic structural fibers 610 are made from a fine grained single phase composition of alpha alumina, and have higher strength at room temperature than Nextel ceramic structural fibers 720. However, because they are essentially single phased, the strength decreases at lower temperature than 720 due to grain growth.
