3M™ Hookit™ Low Profile Finishing Disc Pad is 5" in diameter and constructed of 11/16" soft density foam with a 15 degree blunt tapered edge and is recommended for finishing applications on flat or contoured surfaces where dust evacuation is not required. Use this disc pad with a 5" 3M™ Hookit™ disc (sold separately).

The soft density foam provides additional conformability and allows the disc to flex for longer abrasive life in loading applications. Our 3M™ Hookit™ Low Profile Finishing Disc Pad has 5/16-24 external threads compatible with an orbital or random orbital sander. Max OPM and RPM is 12,000. The 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop feature makes disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment easy and facilitates use and re-use of the disc for the extent of the abrasive life. Hookit™ disc pads have J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. Hookit™ disc pads grip the brushed nylon loop backings of Hookit™ discs and provide a finer finish than do adhesive backed discs. The Hookit system is designed for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. This disc pad can also be used with hook-and-loop discs from other manufacturers.
