3M™ Pressure Sensitive Acrylic Foam Tape 5392 is a 0.5 mm (0.020 in) thick, high density, double-coated acrylic foam tape commonly used for attachment of emblems, nameplates and other light-weight exterior automotive trim.
The high density foam core and polyester liner enhance the diecuttability of this tape. 3M AFT 5392 has AR-7 adhesive on the liner side for bonding to automotive paint surfaces, and DS-4 adhesive on the non-liner side of the product. Since product performance will depend on actual conditions within a specific application, it is essential that the user evaluate the 3M product to determine whether it is fit for a particular material purpose and suitable for the users method of application.
