3M™ Glass Bubbles HGS6000 are engineered hollow glass spheres made from water-resistant and chemically stable soda-lime-borosilicate glass with a true density of 0.46 g/cm³ and an isostatic crush strength of 6,000 psi or 420 bar.
When drilling and cementing across depleted zones and weaker formations, low density systems are required to prevent or minimize the fluid/lost circulation, formation damage, and other problems. 3M Glass Bubbles are density reducing agents and contribute to NPT reduction (Reduced Non Productive Time) and improve well integrity and productivity. Furthermore, they offer stability by maintaining target pressures with greater reliability throughout the drilling process. Minimizing the differential pressure (bottom hole pressure minus reservoir pressure) is essential for the success of any drilling operation. HGS6000 Glass Bubbles are well suited for use in wells with depth ranging from moderate to deep.
