This course provides attendees with the practical skills and theoretical information for safe-working on unguarded retaining walls, bridge heads, open culverts and on embankments up to 40 degrees (this may include de-vegetation or maintenance work)
Part 1: Legislation and how to use and fit personal fall protection equipment (PFPE).
Part 2: Inspection of PFPE and its use in work restraint systems, selection of suitable anchor points, and use of temporary horizontal lifelines and belay systems. The requirement for rescue planning and the safe recovery of a casualty.
Please note: The course does not include instruction on suspended working techniques.
