First 20-year product warranty issued through the QECC programme

The 3M Qualified Electrical Construction Contractor Programme (QECC) is a partnership which provides valuable benefits to appointed 3M electrical contractor partners.

As part of the QECC programme, contractors receive in-depth 3M product and technology training on 11kV-72kV joints, terminations and separable connectors and once certified the QECC contractor can apply for a 3M 20-year medium voltage product warranty on completed projects which is issued by 3M directly to the end customer.

Advanced Power Services, were the first contractor to sign up to the programme and become fully certified partners. BAM Nuttall appointed Advanced Power Services for the Jointing & Commissioning elements of twelve 33,000 feeder replacements within Sussex and Kent. This is the first UK project to be issued a 20-year product warranty under the QECC programme and represents a significant development in the industry.
