The world has changed a lot since 3M was first founded in 1902, in Minnesota as an abrasives company. The company that sprung from this small abrasive business has since grown into a global powerhouse.

Much has remained constant, such as 3M's commitment to producing quality abrasives and innovative solutions designed to help our customers succeed. Over the years, we have brought this winning mentality to the automotive aftermarket industry.

An example would be our 3M™ PPS™, or Paint Preparation System. This original innovative system from 3M enables painters to mix less paint and drastically reduces the amount of solvent and time required for gun cleaning, which improves operator efficiency by as much as 15%.

Our technical capability is based on 46 core technology platforms and with an annual investment in research and development, we are investing not only in product improvement and growth, but also in pushing the boundaries of the technologies themselves.

We take our work in the automotive aftermarket industry seriously, which is why we have invested in a dedicated state-of-the-art Automotive Refinishing Centre (ARC) based in Atherstone to best service our customers. From product and process training to health and safety sessions and support from our technical experts, our ARC ensures we deliver everything you need to carry out high-quality work in your bodyshop.
