The world’s leading automotive trade show is coming to the UK for the first time and 3M will be showcasing its wide range of abrasive, lightweighting, structural adhesive, compounding, polishing and re-finishing technologies.

Automechanika is the perfect place for automotive engineers, manufacturers and bodyshop professionals to discover the latest industry innovations and experts on the 3M stand will be demonstrating how these can save costs and enhance productivity and performance.

New 3M products on display at the show will include the 3M™ Accuspray™ HGP Spray Gun that can be used to apply a layer of high viscosity coating to the under body of a car – replacing a messy, labour intensive job.

In addition, the latest additions to the Cubitron II abrasives range will be unveiled. These sheets and discs use unique triangular precision shaped ceramic grains to cut 30 per cent faster and last up to twice as long as conventional abrasives.

An interactive car door demo will also show 3M science in action, featuring technologies such as 3M Glass Bubbles that can be incorporated into plastic and composite materials to lighten them without reducing strength and 3M™ Thinsulate™ Acoustic Insulation, a highly weight efficient sound absorber.

Visitors to stand 11J30 will also be invited to enter a prize draw to win a supercar track day in Derbyshire, Cheshire or Kent.
